Tour of Best Places to Watch High Surf in Kailua Kona

Waking up to the sound of crashing surf is always a thrill in Kailua Kona. We got up at the crack of dawn to show you the various places we love to go to watch the waves when we get high surf.
We parked in the FREE parking spot in front of Hale Halawai (a tip there for you readers) and then walked along that part of the shore. The pier, sea wall, Kona Inn lawn, Honls, Rivi’s..all great places to catch the surf and smell of the salt air and catch those ions drifting towards shore.
