Kona’s First Big Winter Swell at Lyman’s, Kua Bay, Kailua Bay and Magic’s

Hearing the roar of the incoming high surf, we had to go check it out! So, we went to Lymans/ Holualoa Bay (a popular surf spot) , Magic Sands, Kua Bay & Kailua Bay in downtown Kailua Kona.

We experienced the one thing you can’t get in this video..the smell of the ocean mist! BUT, this video captures the beauty and excitement of winter in West Hawaii.

☀️ Highlights Include:

Seasonal sand changes at Magic Sands 🌴
Huge swells and cautious beachgoers at Kua Bay 🛟
Whale-watching tips 🐋
Holiday celebrations in Kona 🎄
A heartfelt reminder about sun safety 🧴
Whether you’re a surfer, ocean lover, or just dreaming of Hawaii, this video is packed with insights and stunning views of the Big Island during its most vibrant time of year. 🌊
