When Coconut Grove Marketplace announced paid parking was going into effect on October 1, 2023, a petition was created, social media blew up and people threatened to stop patronizing restaurants on Alii Drive. We were there when they were hammering the new signs in the parking lot and discussed how the parking drama started in the Kailua Kona Village Business District and how the push back on the ParkLinq expense has escalated.

This, in front of the upcoming Ironman World Championships in two weeks seems to have residents AND visitors with travel plans questioning the timing of the paid parking.
