Home sales in Puna dropped 28%, from 1072 in 2022 to 767 in 2023, continuing the trend of lack of homes for sale. The median price in Puna dropped a bit from $360,000 in 2022 TO $355,000 in 2023.
Hilo continues to have higher median price with a very small inventory of homes, keeping prices up. In HPP, with more construction happening, more homes on the market and further away from a job center, has lower priced homes that are sitting on the market more than 40 days.
