East Hawaii Real Estate Update December 2023 and End of Year Wrap Up!

Amber Haley and Julie Ziemelis, Real Broker discuss market stats and trends for East Hawaii from Hawaiian Paradise Park. A quick snapshot:
Home sales in Puna dropped 28%, from 1072 in 2022 to 767 in 2023, continuing the trend of lack of homes for sale. The median price in Puna dropped a bit from $360,000 in 2022 TO $355,000 in 2023.
Hilo continues to have higher median price with a very small inventory of homes, keeping prices up. In HPP, with more construction happening, more homes on the market and further away from a job center, has lower priced homes that are sitting on the market more than 40 days.
