Yesterday was an amazing display of teamwork to create a spectacular Independence Day parade and fireworks show! I was thinking “We did it! It’s happening!” every few minutes as the parade participants were lining up and people were dancing and connecting with their friends.
Back in February, I helped rally a small group of 365 Kona volunteers to plan this years parade and fireworks show, working with the past organizers who are moving on, to make the event happen.
Seeing all the videos and photos from yesterday from all different perspectives of the parade participants and folks watching the fireworks from around Kona is one of the most fun of all-it shows just how many lives were touched by this ambitious effort.
