All About South Kona and Key Neighborhoods

South Kona, located about 10 miles south from Kailua Kona, showcases the Kona Coffee farms that Hawaii Island is known for. South Kona has a rural, friendly feel with older homes and an eclectic mix of businesses and neighborhoods. The higher elevation of Honalu, Kainaliu, Kealekekua and Captain Cook, makes this area cooler, with afternoon rain and lush foliage. The region features homes that are generally less expensive than Kailua Kona, but still offer proximity to everything in West Hawaii.
Julie Ziemelis and Delania Branham, Real Broker, take you on an informative tour of downtown Kainaliu and key neighborhoods to give you a feel for life in South Kona.

If you would like to consider living in Captain Cook in the Kealekekua Bay Estates, please view our listing of a 3 bed/3 bath home on an acre of verdant land with mature fruit trees!
