🌊🐠 Snorkeling in Kona, Hawaii turned into one of the best days we’ve had on the Big Island! We headed out to Kona Village, where the shoreline is open for everyone, and discovered an underwater paradise full of colorful tropical fish.

The water was calm, clear, and perfect for exploring. Our friends shared a great tip on how to check if it’s going to be a good snorkel day: look at cloud cover, chop, and clarity before you go. Trust us—it makes a big difference in your experience!

We found the motherlode of fish at the end of the bay near the edges, where the reef comes alive with movement and color. Even with some waves rolling in, the adventure was worth it—because honestly, any day snorkeling in Hawaii is a good day.

Whether you’re planning your first snorkeling trip on the Big Island or looking for hidden gems beyond the usual tourist spots, this video will give you a taste of what makes Kona such a magical place to explore.
