Did you know there are 7 major Farmers Markets on Hawaii Island? We decided to try and go to ALL of them within one weekend! We share with you the highlights of each, interview farmers and vendors, and give you the low down on the characteristics of each one.
Here is the list:
Keauhou Farmers Market, open Saturday between 8:00-noon
Waimea Town market, open Saturday between 7:30 a.m. and noon.
Kamuela Farmers Market, open Saturday between 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Hilo Farmers Market- open Saturday AND Wednesday between 7 am- 3 pm
Make’s Farmers Market (Pahoa) open Sunday 7:00 am to Noon
Hamakua Harvest (Honoka’a) opens Sunday 9:00 am – 2 pm

Waimea mid-week market, open Wednesday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 pm.
Big Island Ho’oulu Farmers Market & Artisans Fair Wednesday and Friday at the lawn at the Outrigger Hotel in Keahou.
Pure Kona Green Market (South Kona) opens Sunday 9 am-2 pm (We did not make it to this market for this video, but we have done a video about it before!)
