We went on an island hop to Kauai just before they opened up travel to vaccinated travelers in mid-May. We stayed in Poipu (the sunny and warm side) and enjoyed some hiking adventures, driving around the island and discovering some beautiful beaches!

One of the more memorable things we did was the Ala Kai Swamp Trail to the Kilohaha Lookout. Save yourself the 7 mile hike and check out the video we did just on that hike!

We also take you to the beach on the Napali Coast Trail near Hanalei, the beach where Gilligan’s Island was filmed, along the coast in Poipu and more!

If you go from May-October 2021, there is a car shortage on the islands. Book early! Also, many of the restaurants are either still closed or working at 50% capacity. Make reservations.
Also, the road to Hanalei is still dealing with a mudslide they had in March and the road is closed for a portion of each day, CHECK AHEAD!
