* Hawi Farmers Market- Saturdays starting at 8am * Kēōkea Beach Park- easily accessible to all- this park boasts a covered pavilion, ocean access and gorgeous views for a picnic and swim. * Statue of King Kamehameha- just a few miles north of Hawi in the village of Kapaau this iconic statue represents the birthplace of King Kamehameha I. Visit in the second week of June to see it draped in yards of leis to celebrate this great rulers birthday! * Pololu Valley- located 17 miles north of Hawi, travelers and residents alike consider it a true treasure of Hawai’i Island. Take the scenic drive for the lookout point, or park and hike down into this magical valley. *Tours: Lokahi Sanctuary Gardens- guided tours of its 10 acres of gorgeous gardens and ocean views give you a sense of the lush agricultural spirit of Hawi. *Flumin’ Kohala- Guided kayak tours to explore the feat of engineering that is “The Ditch”, built over a century ago to bring water to the entire Kohala area. * Kohala Zipline- Zipline through the Kohala forest canopy on this 9-line course with two expert guides per tour.
